Miranda Lambert To Walk Of Fame

Miranda Lambert is now the 70th member of the Music City Walk of Fame.  She was inducted Tuesday afternoon by her longtime friend Dierks Bentley.  “Being part of this day, I feel a bigger part of Nashville than I ever have been.  I’ve been spending a lot of time here the last 3 or 4 months.  I’ve never felt more at home or inspired.  I’ve written music every day since I’ve been here.  I never felt more ready to make music and learn from music and songwriters.  I feel like I have so much family here, so I could not feel more thrilled to have my name on a sidewalk here.”

Afterwards, she spoke with the Nashville music media: “I feel really blessed that I get to make the music I want to make. I’ll just continue to do that, continue to be honest.  I’ve always written about what I’ve been going through, whether it was sad or happy.  The more life you go through, the more you have to write about.  So that’s what I’ll keep on doing.”

She was asked about new music: “I had this summer off, so I happened to be in Nashville a lot, writing as much as I could.  I’m on tour now, but as soon as I get a spare minute, I’ll go in the studio.  I want to write as much as I can, and put together a long list of songs that I think are my next project.  I don’t have a timeline, but I’m in the middle of it.”
