BMI and ASCAP Celebrate Back-to-Back Blake Shelton Number Ones
Music industry executives and tastemakers, friends and family gathered at Ole Red in Nashville to celebrate Blake Shelton’s 24th and 25th number one songs, “Every Time I Hear That Song” and “I’ll Name the Dogs.” The first song celebrated was “Every Time I Hear That Song,” written by BMI writers Brad Warren, Brett Warren, and Aimee Mayo and ASCAP songwriter Chris Lindsey. “I’ll Name the Dogs,” penned by ASCAP writers Matt Dragstrem and Ben Hayslip with BMI writer Josh Thompson. Ole Red was full to the brim with celebrants, who enjoyed the presentations by publishers, labels, producers and songwriters of both songs. Blake spoke highly of everyone he worked with, thanking all parties involved for the work to make the singles successful.
