This “Big Year for the Band” (Rolling Stone) Sees Current Single
“Born To Love You” Push into Top 20 at Country Radio
NASHVILLE, TN - Sept. 20, 2018 - Before NSAI's annual "Nashville Songwriter Awards" last night at the Ryman Auditorium, CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” nominee LANCO was surprised by Sony Music Nashville with the news that their multi-week No. One hit "Greatest Love Story" has been certified 2X PLATINUM by the RIAA. Directly after, LANCO performed the “nostalgic” (CMT) chart-topper before lead singer and the track's sole-writer Brandon Lancaster was honored with the "Songwriter/Artist of the Year” award, joining the ranks of Taylor Swift and Jack White. The latest accolade proves LANCO has "won admirers among its peers" (Billboard) as "2018 has been a big year for the band” (Rolling Stone), becoming the only new artist nominated for American Music Award's "Best Country Duo/Group" alongside their first-ever CMA nod.

“Looking back on this year and thinking of how many doors ‘Greatest Love Story’ has opened for the band blows my mind. This is a song we all believed in since day one and night after night we continue to see how it resonates with more and more people,” said Lancaster. “2018 has proved that five guys can go from jamming in a warehouse to actually living out this wild dream. It just validates that we are on the right path and we can’t thank our fans enough for riding out this journey with us. It feels like it’s just the beginning."

The “arena-rock leaning band” (Entertainment Weekly) is "at the top of their game" (Pitchfork) after "Greatest Love Story” paved the course for critical acclaim with Lancaster becoming the first artist in 10 years to have a No. One on the chart solely written by that artist. LANCO also earned recognition as the first Country group to debut on the Billboard Country albums chart in a decade with their coming of age album HALLELUJAH NIGHTS. As the record now boasts over 423 million streams it proves why this year's two-time ACM and CMT nominated group is the only Country band to achieve a PLATINUM single prior to a debut album release.

As they continue "dominating Country radio” (Billboard), LANCO reveals another piece of their story with their Top 20 single “Born To Love You” as the “absolutely addictive” (Music Row) anthem captures the spirit of their exuberant live show. “The high-energy five-piece band" (Rolling Stone) has rapidly created a loyal fanbase over the past five years with more than 400 shows as the featured act with sold-out club runs in major markets such as New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles. LANCO will continue "dazzling thousands” (Hits Magazine) to close out 2018 during their first-ever headlining HALLELUJAH NIGHTS TOUR launching in Columbia, MO at The Blue Note on Oct. 24th. For more information and upcoming tour dates, visit www.lancomusic.com.
