Thompson Square Welcomes Baby Boy
(NASHVILLE, TN – JANUARY 24, 2016) – Multi-platinum selling duo Thompson Square is now officially a three-piece. Shawna Thompson gave birth today at 2:46 am CT in a Nashville area hospital to the on-stage and real-life couple’s first child, a baby boy named Rigney Cooper Thompson.
The healthy blue-eyed boy weighed in at 7 lbs and 13 oz. Rigney is 19 inches long and has brown hair.
The name “Rigney” holds a special place in Thompson Square’s heart. It’s the maiden name of Shawna Thompson’s grandmother.
E! Online broke the news exclusively this morning while Thompson Square shared a special photo and message with fans a few hours after the new family was able to catch it’s breath from the big night:

Keifer and Shawna Thompson will celebrate their 17th wedding anniversary in May 2016.
