ASCAP AND MUSIC ROW CELEBRATE OLD DOMINION’S DEBUT CHART-TOPPING SINGLE “BREAK UP WITH HIM” IN NASHVILLE

Nashville, Tenn., January 15, 2016: ASCAP and Sony Music Nashville hosted a #1 party for RCA Records recording artists Old Dominion on Thursday, January 14th at Marathon Music Works, immediately before the band's performance in front of a sold-out hometown crowd. Comprised of ASCAP members Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung and Brad Tursi, Old Dominion's debut single, "Break Up With Him," co-written by all five band members and produced by hit songwriter/producer Shane McAnally, spent two weeks at #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and topped the Mediabase country charts in November of last year.
ASCAP's Mike Sistad and Beth Brinker hosted the #1 event that featured presentations from publishers Big Deal Music, Music of RPM, Rehits Music/Smacktown Music and Sonic Geo Music, as well as RCA Records VP/Promotion Keith Gale, the Country Music Association and Country Radio Broadcasters. In a special presentation from SiriusXM, it was announced that "Break Up With Him" was voted the top song of 2015 on their "new hit country" radio channel, The Highway. Nashville music industry publication MusicRow was also on hand to present the band with their No. 1 Challenge Coin, in commemoration of Old Dominion's #1 hit on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart.
About Old DominionRCA Nashville recording act Old Dominion has been writing songs and honing its live show in Music City for 10 years. While many of the group’s songs have been recorded by top artists including Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry, Chris Young and more, the band is currently focused on performing its own brand of country: stripped down and raw, but muscular enough to fit in on today’s country radio. Their debut single, “Break Up With Him,” spent two weeks at #1 on the country charts and their follow-up single, “Snapback,” hit country radio on January 11th, 2016.
