Garth Brooks & Lee Brice

GARTH BROOKS AND LEE BRICE SURPRISE A SOLD OUT BOSSIER CITY, LA  CROWD

Last night (7.29.2016) Garth Brooks treated a sold-out crowd at the Century Link Center in Bossier City, LA to a special performance by his friend, Lee Brice.

Lee played a 25-minute acoustic set before Garth took the stage. Garth invited Lee up toward the end of his set to sing, "More Than A Memory" — the song Garth debuted Number One at radio in August of 2007.  "More Than A Memory" was also Lee's first Number One as a songwriter.

"It was one of my favorite nights on a stage -- ever." said Lee.

Garth introduced Lee by saying, "I remember getting a call from a retailer during my time with my babies. They wanted to know if 'we can go in the vault and do anything.' I said, 'Well, there is one song written by this new kid in Nashville.' So, Lee Brice had this song called 'More Than A Memory' that he had written. And there's a thing in Nashville  --  this has never happened to you, it happens to me all the time --  but you'll hear the demo of the song and you realize you'll never be able to sing it that good. So I'm gonna have my stab at it and then I'm gonna let the master take over."

Garth started the song and then passed it to Lee. The crowd went wild and sang along to every word. (A video clip is attached above.)

Lee Brice is a Platinum and Gold selling CMA and ACM Award winner known for hits including "A Woman Like You," "I Drive Your Truck," and "I Don't Dance," but he's also for well-known for his dynamic live shows.

Lee continues to deliver riveting performances across the country, while also writing for his fourth studio album slated for release in 2017.
