NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (October 14, 2016) – Fresh off winning the NSAI Songwriter/Artist of the Year this week, Platinum-selling recording artist and CMA New Artist of the Year nominee Cole Swindell celebrated yet another No. 1 song yesterday in Nashville for his career-defining multi-week No. 1 hit “You Should Be Here,” which has surpassed over 1 BILLION audience impressions and still growing. He and co-writer Ashley Gorley celebrated with industry friends and family at Swingin’ Doors in downtown Nashville just prior to Swindell taking the stage at Bridgestone Arena opening for Florida Georgia Line on their Dig Your Roots Tour. “You Should Be Here” was Swindell’s fifth consecutive No. 1 single which topped his own record of being the only solo artist in the history of Country Aircheck/Mediabase to top the chart with his first FIVE singles. "You Should Be Here" is one of only three country singles released this year to have been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Just last month Swindell celebrated with his co-writers for three of his five record breaking hits with a Triple No. 1 Music Row Pub crawl. Swindell was awarded plaques for songs from his Platinum certified self-titled debut, including, “Let Me See Ya Girl” (Cole Swindell, Jody Stevens, Michael Carter), “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” (Cole Swindell, Tyler Hubbard, Brian Kelley, Michael Carter) and “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey” (Cole Swindell, Josh Martin, Adam Sanders).
Meanwhile, Swindell is already in the Top 5 on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart with his latest single “Middle of a Memory,” off of his second album You Should Be Here.

Swindell, who is currently still on tour with Florida Georgia Line’s Dig Your Roots Tour, will head to Kansas City, KS on Sunday where he was named the honorary starter for the Hollywood Casino 400 where he will wave the green flag to start the fifth race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

On October 26 he will continue his year-long schedule on the road when he kicks off his own headlining CMT On Tour Presents the Cole Swindell Down Home Tour in tandem with the October 28 release of his new EP, Down Home Sessions III.
